Since 2014, I've been working with individuals, couples, and families navigating the challenges and transitions that life brings. Over the years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of their most difficult and meaningful moments, from relationship struggles and burnout to personal growth and major life changes.
As a husband and father of four boys, I understand firsthand the complexity of family life, parenting, and long-term relationships. I bring that grounded, real-world perspective into my work, alongside clinical training and experience.
I support clients with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, parenting, anger, addiction, men's issues, and major life transitions. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply know something needs to change, therapy can offer clarity, direction, and practical tools to move forward.
My approach is direct, collaborative, and grounded in respect. I meet people where they are, without judgment, and work to understand not just what's happening but the patterns underneath it. I believe the capacity for growth is already within you. Therapy helps bring that into focus and turn it into real, lasting change.
A significant portion of my practice is dedicated to couples and marriage counselling. I work with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Relational Life Therapy, and I am familiar with the Gottman Method. I work with couples at every stage — dating couples wanting to build a strong foundation, long-term partners dealing with distance, conflict, or disconnection, and couples in crisis trying to decide whether to repair or separate. In our work together, my role is not to take sides. It is to help you understand the negative cycle you're caught in, learn how to interrupt it, and develop the tools to communicate, repair, and rebuild connection in a meaningful way.
I also work extensively with men's mental health, particularly with men who are used to handling things on their own. For many men in Kanata and Ottawa, starting therapy can feel like a last resort — like something has finally become too much to carry alone. I respect that step, and I don't take it lightly. My work with men is practical, honest, and focused on results. Sessions are grounded in evidence-based approaches, but always tied to real-life outcomes: stronger relationships, clearer thinking and decision-making, better emotional control, less anger and reactivity, more energy and direction.
